Mis 3 prioridades principales

  • My top priority for the District is to continue examining water supply and demand projections (in the face of a continuing drought) to determine the most reliable, but affordable, water management investments that Valley District should make
  • To reduce future demand, Valley District must increase access to water conservation rebates until the two-thirds of our water supply used for outdoor irrigation is dramatically reduces.
  • Fifteen years after the Old Fire in 2003, the risk of the next major wildfire increases. This District needs to examine the foreseeable post-fire impacts to our water supply and take steps to reduce them.

Filosofía política

My political philosophy is simple. Sucessful governance depends on finding common ground that enables a public agency to better serve the residents in their service area. Because elected don't get to choose their colleagues, we must work respectfully with one another.

2018 Campaign Statement (key points)

Summary

During the first week of October 2018, registered voters will receive Voter Information Pamphlet from the San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters. Candidates for this office who have Campaign Statements have paid $2,279.

Four years ago, you elected me to find sensible water management solutions while PROTECTING YOUR TAX DOLLARS.

I was angry that imported water our property taxes PAID FOR was being sold to Los Angeles in the midst of a severe drought. We needed every drop to replenish our groundwater basins that had fallen to the lowest level in history.

I asked for your vote to change those outrageous practices resulting in:

            • The adoption of Resolution 79 that STOPPED THE SALE OF IMPORTED WATER when we need it here.

            • ENDED automatic pay raises that Directors received every year without a public hearing.

            • REDUCED Director salaries BY 25%.

            • DECREASED property taxes you pay to this district FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 2007.

I’m asking your consideration again so I can use my experience in California water policy to serve you. PLEASE call me at 909.772.0843 if you’d like to talk.
