California Special Districts Association (CSDA)

* Served two years as the Alternate Representative to LAFCo from our CSDA Chapter

* President of San Mateo County Chapter from 2010 to 2014

* Representative from the Granada Sanitary District from 2009 to 2017

* Launched “Know Your Districts” program to increase member knowledge of other districts

* Launched new Speaker Program, inviting all SMC Supervisors to learn about our members

* Attended an Annual CSDA Convention, representing the SMC Chapter

* Attended a Chapter Presidents’ Roundtable in Sacramento, representing the SMC Chapter

 

San Mateo County Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCo)

 

* Former Alternate Representative from SMC Special Districts Chapter

* Served on the LAFCO Legislative Committee

* Worked with LAFCo for over two years to gain approval to elevate GSD to a Community Services District (CSD)

 

Granada Community Services District (formerly Granada Sanitary District)

* Board Member from June 2004 to April 2017. Served as President, Vice-president, Secretary and Treasurer

* Championed the "Wet Weather" project that protected our community from overflows and expensive fines. Saved $500,000 on the land purchase and over $200,000 on the Project

* Helped champion the successful process to add Parks powers to the Sanitary District

 

Coastside State Parks Association (CSPA)

Current Board Member

Active with Coastside Wildflower Days and Seal Adventures

Sewer Authority MidCoastside (SAM) (Joint power agency with Half Moon Bay and Montara WSD)

* Represented Granada Sanitary District from Jan 2005 to April 2017

* Served as President, Vice-President and Treasurer

* Co-author of original pilot Recycled Water Plan

* Served on Latest Recycled Water Committee

* Served on the SAM Recycled Water Outreach committee

 

San Mateo County

* Served on the Sea Level Rise Committee

* Active communications with all County Supervisors

 

Midcoast Community Council - Advisory Council to the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors (representing 12,000 citizens in the unincorporated area of the county)

* Former Chair of 7 Person Council, member for 8 years.

* 2 years as Chair of Planning and Zoning Committee, 6 years as member.

* 2 years as Chair of the Parks and Recreation Committee.

* Instrumental in launching process for new Local Coastal Plan review for our area

* Worked with Coastal Commission on recently approved Local Coastal Program
