Mis 3 prioridades principales

  • I want to ensure safe roads throughout Woodside and cut down on commuter traffic.
  • I want to protect and preserve Woodside's rural nature for current and future generations.
  • I want to improve building and planning in Woodside by making more resident-friendly.

I am a husband and the father of two preschool-aged children.  My wife, Katy, and I made our home in Woodside and intend to raise our kids here.  We love Woodside’s natural setting and want to preserve it for our children and future generations.

Katy and I are both attorneys.  Currently, I am a partner at a law firm in Palo Alto and also a member of its Executive Committee.  I served previously as a Deputy Attorney General for the California Attorney General’s Office where I handled complex civil rights cases.  I also served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in San Jose where I prosecuted a variety of crimes including drug and weapons-related offenses, counterfeiting, theft, and fraud.

Outside of work, I have served on Woodside’s Environment: Open Space, Conservation, and Sustainability Committee, and am currently its chairman.

I received my law degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA.  Between college and law school, I was a volunteer teacher in East Africa where I taught primary-school children English and coached the local soccer team.

In my free time, I enjoy running, swimming, and cycling.  Among numerous races, I have completed the San Francisco marathon, the Escape from Alcatraz triathlon, and the Los Angeles triathlon.

Filosofía política

My political philosophy is that residents and their concerns must come first.  Council members are public servants first and foremost.  The council must always be ethical and free from any conflicts of interest and appearance of conflicts of interest.

I want to improve our community’s infrastructure so that we can continue to grow in an environmentally responsible and sustainable way.  Particularly, I want to improve our roads and make road safety a priority for Woodside.  Our children, residents, and guests deserve safe routes throughout Woodside.

I also want to improve the building and permitting process in Woodside to ensure that it is fair, equitable, and transparent for all residents.

I have served on Woodside’s Environment: Open Space, Conservation, and Sustainability Committee, and am currently its chairman.  I care deeply about Woodside’s unique environment and want to protect its heritage for future generations.
