Mis 3 prioridades principales

  • Housing - When it comes to housing in Pacifica, we need to think about how our housing model impacts families.
  • Economic Development - Pacifica doesn’t currently have an Economic Development Plan. Without that plan or vision for the city it’s hard for residents, businesses and potential developers to figure out what is being done.
  • Environment - Create an environmental plan which accounts for the money the city and/or region would lose and gain by adopting more “environmentally friendly” policies.

Adonica Shaw is a commissioner with the Healthcare for the Homeless and Farmworkers board of San Mateo County, she is TEDx speaker and a Sr. Marketing Professional with several years of client experience in public relations and brand management.

Filosofía política

As a county commissioner, a wife, and mother I believe Pacifica needs to be a place where working professionals can raise their families for generations to come.

While Pacifica is rich in tradition, too many parents and residents feel left out. I’m running for City Council because I believe Pacifica has to be an inclusive place that allows families, educators, and servicemen and women to thrive. I want to ensure that future generations can return to the same city that raised them and provided them with a sense of community.

Daughter to a veteran, and raised by a single mother, I believe anything is possible through hard work.

Through hard work, I was able to realize my goal of protecting the environment as an environmental reporter and weathercaster. I’ve delivered several TEDx talks, and I’ve owned several small businesses. I’ve served my community through Rotary, Junior League and as a Board Member with the YMCA. I’ve helped reduce barriers to healthcare as a board member for the San Mateo County Health Care for the (HCH/FH) Co-Applicant Board.  Additionally, I’ve participated in creating useful policies for disenfranchised people as a member of the San Francisco District Attorney's Women's Advisory Group.

I’m a collaborator and I will be your partner in making Pacifica work for all of us by:

• Putting our families first.

• Reducing homelessness.

• Reducing small business restrictions.

• Advocating for housing options for public servants, teachers, nurses, and firefighters.

Ensuring our veterans have the resources they need to thrive in this community both now and in the future.

• Protecting land and property as an advocate to the environment.
