Mis 3 prioridades principales

  • Relieve commute congestion: consider park-n-ride lot, school buses, shuttle to Millbrae Caltrain, carpools for over-the-hill private schools.
  • Enhance parks and recreation facilities and programming for all residents.
  • Revitalize downtown: co-locate housing with businesses; implement high-speed internet; fill empty storefronts; improve walkability and bike access; construct a parking garage; schedule more music, art, and cultural events.

I was born and raised on the East Coast but have lived in Half Moon Bay nearly 30 years. I married here and raised my two children in local public schools. I have been politically active in our town this whole time, as a neighborhood activist and as a city councilmember and mayor. My professional background includes careers in both private and public sectors. I have worked as a daily newspaper reporter, a marketing communications specialist at Hewlett-Packard Company, and a public relations account executive in Silicon Valley. I currently work as a grants manager and legislative analyst/liaison for State Coastal Conservancy. Working for SCC I've had the pleasure of working to protect open space, restore wetlands, and fund trail construction. One of my current projects is serving as SCC"s project manager for what will be the world's largest wildlife bridge, crossing more than 200 feet over HWY 101 in Los Angeles County. I also represent my agency in matters of legislation and natural resources policy development.
