  • Develop more affordable housing and provide housing alternatives such as second units and transitional homeless housing so everyone has a place to live.
  • Support local microbusinesses, workforce development and small businesses.
  • Implement a traffic control unit within the police department for safety in our streets.

Experience and Civic Participation

I have lived in East Palo Alto since 1979, was involved in the Incorporation movement, served on the first City Council in 1983 and worked to pass the City's original  Rent Stabilization Law and to establish our own police department. I am a founding member of the East Palo Alto Council of Tenants and the Ravenswood AYSO Soccer League for boys and girls. I have served on the East Palo Alto Senior Center Inc. and the East Palo Alto Family YMCA boards. Currently, I serve on the boards of Job Train, Herban Health, and the Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula.
