Dear San Bruno Residents, Parents and Educators,   Since October of 2017, I have had the sincere pleasure as serving as an newly appointed board member with my colleagues on the San Bruno Park School District Board of Trustees. I have learned a great deal in this new role. I want to personally thank the countless numbers of brave souls who have called and reached out to me as parents, teachers, and community members to voice their opinions and desires to better the future of our schools. I have taken this input to heart and this has been instrumental in informing of the key issues and has truly made me a better leader in my role as a new trustee.    In my mind, the three pillars, which I spoke about at my recent kick off event, are: 1) Student Achievement, 2) Teachers and Staff, and 3) Community. It is wise to consider the affects of our collective board's decisions on all three groups. If I am re-elected in the November of 2018, I shall continue to consider all three groups mentioned above in my decision making process. I also will work with staff and continue to collaborate with my board colleagues on making sure all three pillars are considered in our decision making process.   I am excited to continue on in the role and I will continue to focus on the following main areas which I am passionate about:   *Expansion of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Programs *Bi-lingual educational programs *Fiscal responsibility and transparency to the public. *Supporting Teachers and Staff *Working with fellow Trustees to build a positive yet effective governance team.

In terms of my educational background, I have a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from California State University, East Bay and a Master of Business Administration from Golden Gate University. I also have received a Certificate in Clinical Trial Data Management from San Francisco State University.
