What can you do as a City Council member to address the issue of homelessness in Oakland?
Respuesta de Nayeli Maxson:

Act immediately to keep local residents in Oakland and slow home loss through passage of a housing preservation package

When approving projects to create new housing, negotiate robust community benefits on behalf of local residents and workers.

Engage local community members, entrepreneurs, local organizations with diverse perspectives, organized labor, local employers, residential real estate developers, land trust specialists, and impact investors to  scale creative, collaborative solutions addressing our housing shortage, senior housing, and homelessness.
