A recent law made major changes in the way that the state allocates funding to schools.  What will you do to ensure that the public understands your local control formula for school spending and your plan to measure outcomes?
Respuesta de Jeff Carlovsky:

The local control formula is a good way to connect the stake holders with the budget process. It is called the LCAP..and it is the road map used to spend monies allocated to each school, one of the major components of the LCAP is parental input. In Lompoc, it has been a tremendous success as we have made some major inroads at changing the direction of some of our underpreforming schools. Sine these changes are staff, parents and student generated it has been very successful as the buy in form all astake holders has been great.

If the parents don't get involved in the meetings, they don't get the money..
