La pregunta

La situación

The County General Plan was passed by the voters in 2004.  Much time, energy, and money was spent on this plan.  It was a plan that protected our rural resources, while providing for orderly growth.   We are now at a critical point in the development of our county.  Do we allow developers to change or ignore our general plan and force high density housing upon us?  The Villages of Marble Valley is already approved for approximately 400 dwellings.  If the county supervisors overturn our General Plan, you can expect over 3200 dwelling units and commercial businesses to be built.  The Lime Rock Valley development is approved for 58 dwellings; if the developers have their way, you can expect over 800 dwellings.

Sus oponentes dicen

We strongly urge all residents of Cameron Estate to vote NO on MEASURE B.  We have to provide a clear message to our elected County officials that they must stop out of control development in El Dorado County,  This Advisory vote is an effective way for our voices to be heard.

Why Vote No

  • Our roads are already at service level F per Caltrans ratings.  Consider the traffic volume impact on the ramps at Bass Lake, Cambridge Road, and Cameron Park Dive if these projects are developed!
  • Both developments propose using our roads with Cameron Estates for emergency access.
  • These high density dwelling projects are a clear threat to our rural way of life.  If they succeed, more are sure to follow!
