My Top 3 Priorities

  • Support acute hospital care, but also addressing the underlying causes of disease
  • Spending taxpayer dollars wisely
  • Encourage the district to become part of the Sonoma County healthcare network - Health Action

I have been a nurse for 42 years, graduating with a doctorate in nursing in 2010. I have taught nursing at the junior college level at SRJC and at the Master's level at USF. I have lived in Sonoma County for over 30 years.

Political Philosophy

I have seen acute healthcare change over the years I have practiced nursing with more and more of the care being done in the home, with home health help, home care nurses and outpatient procedures. Healthcare dollars are limited and I am concerned about utilizing these finite resources wisely. Health is also dependent primarily upon making wise choices long before acute care needs present, and I would support preventative measures and making sure that as a community we take care of social determinants of health including traffic, clean air and clean water. I would encourage the Palm Drive Healthcare District to partner with the Health Action Network to promote health and wellbeing in West Sonoma County.
