Biography

I'm a 5th generation Sonoma County resident. I was born and raised in Santa Rosa and attended public schools. I graduated from Santa Rosa High School and received an AA Degree from Santa Rosa Junior College. I transfered to Chico State University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. My wife and I have 2 grown children and 3 granddaughters. I am the president of Santa Rosa Auto Parts and Power Industries. The businesses are celebrating 70 and 65 years of business this year respectively.

I've served on the Board of Trustees for 24 years. During my 6 terms I've help oversee the greatest physical expansion the college has ever experienced. With the passage of Measure "H" we will plan for an even greater expansion. Experience is needed to assure this expansion will serve the next generations to come. I've served on the Board Facilities Committee all of my 24 years. This committee oversees all new construction as well as remodel and maintenance projects. I've served as President of the Board 6 years. I led the hiring process that brought Dr. Frank Chong to SRJC during my last term as President. I'm a founding member and past president of the Bear Cub Athletic Trust. The Trust supports and raises funds for the athletic department. I was a SRJC Foundation Board member for 10 years as well as a member of the Scholarship committee. Most recently I served on the 2030 Plan Steering committee.
